About the event
An immersive journey through one of the world's most extraordinary regions, where Tibetan Buddhist culture, breathtaking landscapes, and adventure await! We meet in Delhi on the 1st September 2027 and return back to Delhi on the 13th September 2027.
Ladakh lies at the crossroads of the Himalayan, Karakoram, and Zanskar mountain ranges and is technically a high-altitude cold desert, receiving minimal quantities of rainfall annually. It's strategic position made it a significant feature during the Silk Road trading period, leading to a fascinating blending and exchange of histories and cultures.
The landscape is one of sweeping mountain ranges, rocky valley's, monasteries perched on arid hillsides, fertile river valley's, and icy blue lakes. During this retreat my hope is to introduce you to the best of this region through day-trips to sites of cultural significance, activities and workshops, time to simply reflect and absorb the magnificence of the surroundings, and daily yoga to make the trip a refreshing and revitalising one.
ACCOMMODATION
During our trip we will stay at several properties including a premium hotel in Delhi, an award winning heritage property near Leh, and a boutique hotel in a remote village in the mountains. Rooms are typically double occupancy (twin beds) unless otherwise stipulated or requested.
YOGA
As a certified yoga teacher with 8 years of full-time yoga teaching experience, and 11 years of study as an Iyengar student, my aim is to guide the participants through sessions which are ultimately rejuvenating, innovative, and detailed. Thoroughness, safety, and creativity are the main staple of my offerings.
